The Mentions module watches the public web — social posts, news, forums, podcasts, reviews — for any reference to your brand, product, or chosen keywords, and pulls each one into a single feed you can triage, classify, and act on.
What you can monitor
Your brand name and product names.
Competitor names.
Founder or executive names.
Industry keywords or hashtags.
Specific URLs or domains.
Add a keyword
Open Mentions → Keywords.
Click + Add keyword.
Type the term. Use quotes for exact phrase matching ("brand jet ai") and parentheses for alternatives.
Pick languages and regions you care about. The default is global English.
Optionally exclude noisy terms (for example exclude jet skiing when monitoring BrandJet).
Save. The first mentions usually appear within 5 minutes.
Sources we monitor
Social: X (Twitter), Reddit, Hacker News, LinkedIn public posts, YouTube comments, TikTok captions.
News: 100,000+ news sites and blogs in our index, plus regional press feeds.
Forums: Reddit, Hacker News, Indie Hackers, niche communities.
Podcasts: transcripts from major podcast networks.
Reviews: G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, App Store, Play Store.
Smart filters
Inside the feed, you can filter by source, sentiment, language, reach, or AI classification (interested, neutral, negative, promotional). Saved filters appear in the sidebar.
Alerts
Set per-keyword alerts: instant for any mention, daily digest, or weekly summary.
Channels: email, Slack, Discord, or webhook.
Combine with workflows for advanced routing (for example: notify the founder Slack only when sentiment is negative AND reach is over 1000).
Tips
Start with 3 to 5 keywords. Add more once you see what noise looks like.
Use exclusions liberally; they do not count against your quota.
Pair brand + competitor monitoring to see where you appear together.
Review and adjust keywords monthly.
