Short Answer

To connect WhatsApp to BrandJet for outreach, go to brandjet.ai/accounts, click Add Account, choose WhatsApp, and click Connect Account. BrandJet gives you two methods: QR code and pairing code. The pairing code method is usually more reliable, because you enter your phone number first and then link the device using a short code on your phone.

For either method, open WhatsApp on your phone, tap the three dots in the top right, choose Linked devices, and link BrandJet as a device. For QR, scan the QR code. For pairing code, tap Link with phone number instead and enter the code BrandJet gives you.

I would use pairing code first unless you specifically prefer scanning the QR code. It is cleaner when QR scanning is awkward or when the phone camera does not pick it up quickly.

Before You Start

You need access to the WhatsApp account on your phone. The phone stays the source of the account identity. BrandJet is added as a linked device, similar to using WhatsApp Web.

What You Need Why It Matters
BrandJet WhatsApp Seat The account needs an available WhatsApp slot.
Phone With WhatsApp Installed You approve the linked device from the phone.
Stable Internet Both BrandJet and the phone need to complete the link.
Phone Number For Pairing Code BrandJet uses it to generate the link code.

Open The WhatsApp Connector In BrandJet

Go to brandjet.ai/accounts, click Add Account, and choose WhatsApp from the Social Channels section. Then click Connect Account.

Method 1: Connect WhatsApp With QR Code

The QR method is the familiar WhatsApp Web style flow. BrandJet shows a QR code, and you scan it from WhatsApp on your phone.

On your phone, open WhatsApp, tap the three dots in the top right, and choose Linked devices. Tap Link a device, then scan the QR code shown in BrandJet.

Method 2: Connect WhatsApp With Pairing Code

The pairing code method is usually more reliable. In BrandJet, switch to the pairing code method and enter your phone number. BrandJet will give you a code.

On your phone, go to Linked devices again. Instead of scanning a QR code, tap Link with phone number instead. Enter the code BrandJet shows.

If the link fails, check the phone first. WhatsApp linked device flows depend on your phone approving the connection. If the phone is offline, the app is outdated, or the code expires, BrandJet cannot finish the link.

  • Confirm the phone is online and WhatsApp is open.

  • Use the newest pairing code if the old one expired.

  • Make sure you entered the country code correctly for phone number pairing.

  • For QR code setup, keep the QR visible and scan before it refreshes.

  • If pairing fails twice, close the modal and start a fresh connection attempt.

How To Know WhatsApp Is Connected

Once the link finishes, BrandJet should show the WhatsApp account as connected on the Accounts page. I would also open WhatsApp Linked devices on the phone and confirm there is a new linked session. That gives you confidence that BrandJet is connected as a device and ready for outreach.

QR Code Or Pairing Code: Which WhatsApp Method Should You Pick

Both WhatsApp methods link BrandJet as a device, but they feel different in practice. QR code is fast when your phone camera scans cleanly and the code stays visible. Pairing code is often easier when the QR scan is unreliable, the screen is small, or the phone has trouble reading the code.

The pairing code method also gives you a clear input step on the phone. You enter the phone number in BrandJet, receive a code, then type that code into WhatsApp after choosing Link with phone number instead. That makes the flow less dependent on camera scanning.

I would pick pairing code first for most users. It is simple, repeatable, and easier to explain to someone remotely. QR code is still useful when you are sitting at the computer with the phone in your hand and the scan works immediately.

Useful Checks After WhatsApp Connects

After BrandJet connects, open WhatsApp Linked devices on the phone. You should see a linked session that matches the connection you just created. This is a good sanity check because WhatsApp is device-based. If you do not see a linked session, or if the session disappears, restart the connection from BrandJet.

Also keep the phone account healthy. If WhatsApp logs out, loses internet for a long time, or removes the linked device, BrandJet cannot keep using that WhatsApp account normally.

Which WhatsApp Method Should You Use First

Use the pairing code method first when you want the most reliable path. It is less dependent on camera focus, screen glare, and QR timing. You enter the phone number in BrandJet, BrandJet gives you a code, and you type that code into WhatsApp under Linked devices.

Use the QR method when the phone is already in your hand and scanning is convenient. It is fast, but it can fail if the QR expires, the camera cannot focus, or the wrong WhatsApp account is open on the phone.

I would keep the phone and browser next to each other before starting either method. The flow is simple, but it is easier when you do not have to hunt for the Linked devices menu while the code or QR is waiting.

What To Check On The Phone

On WhatsApp mobile, open the menu in the top right, then go to Linked devices. For the QR method, scan the QR code shown in BrandJet. For the pairing code method, choose Link with phone number instead, then enter the code BrandJet gives you.

Make sure you are using the WhatsApp account tied to the phone number you want BrandJet to connect. If you manage multiple numbers or use WhatsApp Business, check the active app and number before linking.

After the connection finishes, BrandJet should show WhatsApp as connected. I would also look at Linked devices on the phone and confirm the new session looks expected.
